But when we live in a big city, for example, many people sometimes don’t even notice how much they lack nature. We now know through many years of research that a process of alienation from nature has very negative consequences for the human individual. Depression or burnout diseases are much more common in people.

For me, these are the three cornerstones of a happy life: living in harmony with yourself, living in harmony with others and living in harmony with nature.

Dr. HA VINH THO on true wealth

Dear friends out there, money – what does it actually do to us? Money has developed into a powerful instrument – anyone who has a lot of money would like to receive it and would like to increase it. Those who have little of it become dependent on others in order to survive – be it through work or certain transfer payments. In my professional life I have had a lot to do with people who had a lot of money. But hardly anyone seemed satisfied and happy to me, it was never enough. The next house had to be bigger, the new pool wider and a new garage was built for the eighth car.

But what is happiness now? Everyone defines that individually for themselves. Dr. Ha Vinh Tho was responsible for the implementation of so-called ‘gross national happiness’ in Bhutan for many years. Bhutan is the only state in the world that does not measure the “happiness” of its citizens in terms of gross domestic product, because other qualities count in the “happiness ministry” there. I have Dr. Ha Vinh Tho asked how he defines happiness.

Dr. Ha Vinh Tho: The most important factor for our well-being is the quality of our human relationships, the feeling of being embedded in a good community with family, good friends or even nice colleagues. That makes us humans happy because we are social beings. Living in harmony with your fellow human beings is one of the most important things you can do to feel happy.write me a paper Another very important component is that we live in harmony with our environment and nature.

Many people may not notice this at first. If, for example, we have a dispute with our partner or an unpleasant discussion with a colleague, we immediately notice the disharmony contained therein.
