Hyundai, Kia recall about 270,000 vehicles

Reuters (8/15) and the New York (NY) Times (8/14, Jensen, 9.44M) report on the recall of about 270,000 vehicles recalled by Hyundai and Kia in three separate announcements. The affected vehicles are 2006-2011 model Sonata and Azera sedans, 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sports, and 2014 Kia Sorrentos. The Hyundai Sonata and Azeras are reportedly suffering from corrosion issues affecting rear wheel alignment, a NHTSA finding. The latter vehicles are being recalled due to “possible problems with the right front axle.” The Times reports the decision comes “more than a month after NHTSA began an investigation…prompted by complaints from two owners
