Florida woman gets $3.3 million verdict over Yamaha Rhino injuries.

The Pensacola (FL) News Journal (5/2, Proctor, 38K) reports Jackie McMahon of Pensacola, Florida, received $3.3 million in damages from Yamaha after she was “severely injured” an accident while riding a Rhino 660 four-wheeler after it overturned when “she tried to make a right turn on flat terrain at slow speed.” Her attorney, “Fred Levin alleged ‘wanton misconduct’ by the company for failing to recall the vehicle” despite its history of overturning on flat terrain at slow speeds. While “the Rhino has been the target of hundreds civil suits as a result of injuries,” this is the largest verdict to date.
