3.8 Million Dollar Mesothelioma Verdict Against Clever Brooks

A Brooklyn jury handed down a 3.8 million dollar verdict today. The plaintiff was a deceased 59 y.o. former NAVY deckhand (1966-1970) and civilian Air Force employee (1974-1998) who worked on Cleaver Brooks' boilers at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, KS.

The plaintiff called the worker's widow, Dr. Strauchen, and Dr. Castleman. Cleaver Brooks chose not to call any witnesses (instead tried to blame the NAVY and Air Force).

After deliberating less than a day the jury returned a 3.8 million dollar verdict and found Cleaver Brooks 60% responsible.

Cleaver Brooks was represented by Suzanne Halbardier of Barry, McTiernan and Moore in New York.

Congratulations to my friends and colleagues Sam Meirowitz and Kyle Shamberg.
