3.9 million dollar Jones Act Mesothelioma Verdict

When someone gets hurt on the high seas there is a federal law known as the Jones Act the provides for jury trial if the seaman was not provided a safe place to work.

Today My friends John Herrick , Don Krispin and Duane Marsden succeeded in convincing the jury that the family of William Lipari should be awarded 3.9 million dollars against defendants Oglebay Norton, Columbia Transport, Interlake Steamship and Pringle Transport. The case was tried before Judge Harry Hanna in Cleveland Ohio. Mr. LaParl was 78 years old when he died of mesothelioma, 25 years after retiring from a career in the merchant marines. He was survived by his wife and five grown children.
